In late July, Humble Games–the publishing arm of the Humble Bundle digital storefront–laid off the entirety of its staff in a surprising move that left some indie titles in a precarious position. But now, ex-Humble staff have formed their own indie publishing company, called Good Games Group, and it appears that Humble Games parent company Ziff Davis is one of its first clients.
Led by former Humble Games leaders Mark Nash and Alan Patmore, Good Games Group will be working with various companies to bring indie titles to market, and according to a report from Eurogamer, one of those companies is none other than Humble Games’ parent company, Ziff Davis. Although Ziff Davis was ultimately responsible for the layoff that left them jobless just a few months ago, N…
CI Games has announced that a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is currently in development, and it most likely will not be sold on Steam for its PC release.
CI Games revealed that Epic Games has the exclusive distribution rights for the Lords of the Fallen sequel on PC for its entire product life cycle. However, the IP rights and publishing rights for other platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, remain with CI Games. The studio mentions that the game is due out in 2026 as well. The announcement refers to it as a sequel to Lords of the Fallen, so it may not actually be called “Lords of the Fallen 2.”
It’s unclear if Epic is funding the game’s development similar to how it did for Remedy’s Alan Wake 2. It’s currently an Epic Games Store exclusive and so far shows…
People who are into games today generally know the term “walking sim.” It seems to have cropped up around the time of Dear Esther in 2012, a first-person adventure game in which you explore the Scottish countryside on foot, triggering memories of your lost loved one. To be fair, the game does mostly involve walking around, but there was a time when calling a game a “walking sim” was meant by some as a dig against it. That was true of Dear Esther and many games since then. One would use it to say, “This game lacks gameplay.” To an extent, that’s not the case anymore, as walking sim is now a genre label on Steam so fans of them can easily find more, and many games are built to attract an audience that enjoys this kind of game.
I like them, too, though I’…

Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes has brought back revamped versions of weapons that only appear during the summertime event.
